Account takeover via wildcard servlet-path matching
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Privilege escalation in four ManageEngine server products allows remote authenticated users to take over accounts through crafted URL paths. Overly permissive regular expressions in URL mappings match wildcard servlet paths and expose account-management operations to low-privileged sessions. AssetExplorer before 7710, ServiceDesk Plus before 15110, ServiceDesk Plus MSP before 14940, and SupportCenter Plus before 14940 are affected only when local authentication is enabled; any account, including an administrator account, can be assumed unless the high-privileged account has an email address.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
