Unauthenticated object injection via PHAR deserialization
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in Redirection for Contact Form 7 3.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files. The delete_associated_files function deserializes untrusted PHAR metadata, allowing an attacker-selected object graph to invoke available gadgets. Exploitation requires PHP 8 or earlier, an upload-enabled form, and the activated Create Post extension; Contact Form 7 supplies a deletion gadget.
