Stored XSS via unescaped placeholder labels
Published Sep 23, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025
Stored XSS in Brainstorm Force SureForms before 1.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted form labels. When Use Labels as Placeholders is enabled, label text is inserted into an HTML placeholder attribute without context-aware escaping. Administrator-level access is required to save the label, and viewing or hovering over the rendered form triggers code in that visitor's browser.
