Disputed account creation via crafted xajax requests
Published Jul 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
A report of improper authorization in Vaelsys VaelsysV4 4.1.0 says remote attackers can create users through crafted xajax requests. The report says /grid/vgrid_server.php processes an xajax user-creation call without enforcing session authorization, but Vaelsys could not reproduce that path. Vaelsys found that only authenticated administrators can create accounts, an action already allowed by their role, and therefore identifies no security impact.
