Stored script execution via unescaped widget attributes
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in CyberChimps Responsive Addons for Elementor 2.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. Multiple widget renderers accept user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and emit them into page output without appropriate escaping. Contributor-level WordPress access is required, and the JavaScript executes when a visitor loads an injected page, enabling browser-context data access or content changes.
