Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published Sep 30, 2025 · Updated Sep 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Webangon The Pack Elementor addon 2.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Typing Letter attributes. The Typing Letter widget accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization and renders them without output escaping, preserving injected script in page content. Contributor-level access is required; the script executes in a visitor's browser whenever the injected page is opened, enabling page-context data access and modification.
