Information disclosure via cleartext leakage-detector requests
Published Jul 26, 2025 · Updated Jul 26, 2025
Cleartext transmission in Comodo Dragon Browser 134.0.6998.179 and earlier allows remote attackers to read IP and system data via spoofed DNS. The bundled IP/DNS Leakage Detector requests data over HTTP and inserts response fields into the extension page with innerHTML without validation or sanitization. Exploitation requires control of DNS resolution or an equivalent network position; a crafted response exposes the transmitted data and can execute script in the extension page.
