CVE-2025-8171Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file write via unrestricted upload

Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Jul 28, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Document Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files. The /insert.php handler accepts the uploaded_file argument without restricting dangerous file types, allowing attacker-controlled content to be stored by the web application. A low-privilege authenticated session is required; public evidence establishes attacker-controlled file storage but does not establish execution of the uploaded content.
