Authenticated database disclosure via unsafe dataScope substitution
Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025
SQL injection in deerwms deer-wms-2 3.0 through 3.3 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a crafted request. The selectAllocatedList mapper inserts params.dataScope directly into its SQL statement instead of binding the value as a parameter. A session with system:role:list permission can reach the endpoint, and the published proof of concept extracts the active database name through an error response.
