CVE-2025-8110Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via symlink-following file write

Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025

Path traversal in the PutContents API in Gogs 0.13.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code on the server. The API validates path text but follows a repository symlink, letting attacker-controlled content overwrite files outside the repository, including .git/config. Repository creation permission, enabled by default, is sufficient to replace sshCommand and execute commands as the Gogs service account.
