GPU disruption via ptrace writes to read-only memory

Improper privilege handling in Imagination Technologies Graphics DDK 1.13 RTM through 24.2 RTM2 allows local users to disrupt GPU operation. The driver permits software running without elevated privileges to use ptrace to write GPU-origin memory that should remain read-only. A non-privileged local process is required, and successful tampering corrupts shared shader memory and interrupts GPU workloads.
