Privilege escalation via unvalidated ACAP configuration

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Privilege escalation in AXIS OS 12.0.0 through 12.7.32 allows attackers to gain elevated device privileges through a malicious ACAP application. The affected ACAP configuration file has improper permissions and accepts input without validation; Axis has not disclosed the file, fields, or privileged consumer.
