Plugin deactivation via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Etruel WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher 2.8.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to deactivate the plugin. The handle_feedback_submission() function accepts a deactivation-feedback request without validating a WordPress nonce. A site administrator must be induced to submit the forged request, after which feed importing stops until the plugin is reactivated.
