Plugin changes via nonce-free SendWP handlers
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Easy Digital Downloads 3.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to deactivate or install SendWP. The edd_sendwp_disconnect() and edd_sendwp_remote_install() handlers accept state-changing requests without verifying a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a site administrator to follow a crafted link; the resulting request can deactivate SendWP or download and activate it.
