Data access or service exhaustion via preset pollution
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Prototype pollution in Vuetify 2.2.0-beta.2 through 3.0.0-alpha.9 allows remote attackers to alter object properties via presets. The internal mergeDeep utility recursively copies attacker-controlled preset keys into defaults without blocking prototype-chain properties. Applications must accept or load a malicious preset; under SSR, the pollution reaches the server process and can expose data or exhaust resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
