Administrator-level file read via tampered upload path
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Elementor Website Builder 3.30.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files via image import. Import_Images::import() passes the attachment tmp_name value directly to file_get_contents without verifying that it names a PHP-uploaded file. Administrator-level access is required, and successful exploitation discloses file contents without modifying data or interrupting service.
