Origin validation error in Synology BeeDrive for desktop before 1.4.3-13973 allows local users to write non-sensitive information to arbitrary files. Synology has not disclosed the affected component, the untrusted origin, or how that origin is accepted and used to select an arbitrary write destination. Exploitation requires low local privileges and user interaction, and the resulting writes can alter non-sensitive data or interrupt the application without disclosing confidential data.
