CVE-2025-8065

Elevated code execution via oversized namespace prefix

Published Dec 20, 2025 · Updated Dec 20, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in TP-Link Tapo C200 V3 before 1.4.5 Build 251104 allows remote attackers to execute elevated code. The ONVIF SOAP XML parser copies a namespace prefix into a fixed-size stack buffer without validating its length, so an oversized prefix corrupts stack memory. An unauthenticated attacker must reach the camera from the same local network; successful exploitation grants elevated code execution and full device compromise.
