Authenticated code execution via unchecked deviceList length
Published Jul 23, 2025 · Updated Jul 23, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC23 16.03.07.52 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted deviceList value. The httpd handler at /goform/setMacFilterCfg passes the attacker-controlled deviceList argument to sub_46C940 without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. Access to the web administration interface and low-privilege authentication are required; exploitation can fully compromise or interrupt the router.
