Code execution via CHX path traversal
Published Sep 2, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
Path traversal in Anritsu ShockLine 2023.7.5 allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted CHX file. The CHX parser fails to validate a user-supplied path before using it in file operations, permitting traversal outside the intended directory. Exploitation requires a malicious page or file, and resulting code runs with the current user's privileges.
