Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped player dimensions
Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Station Pro 2.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Contributor access to run scripts via player dimensions. The player-rendering code places the width and height shortcode values into player markup without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; injected script executes when any user opens the affected page and can act in that user's browser context.
