Protected-post disclosure via unauthorized AJAX search
Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information disclosure in WPDreams Ajax Search Lite 4.13.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read protected WordPress posts. The public AJAX search handler passes requests to ASL_Query without enforcing authorization or excluding password-protected posts, and repeated offset queries return their content in 100-character windows. No account or user interaction is required, and the impact is limited to content exposed through the vulnerable search response.
