Visitor redirection via unvalidated PDF file parameter
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
Open redirect in PublicCMS 5.202506.a and earlier allows remote authenticated users to redirect iOS visitors through crafted viewer links. The PDF.js viewer reads the file query parameter without validation and assigns it to document.location.href for iPhone, iPad, and iPod user agents. Exploitation requires a visitor using one of those devices to open the crafted link, after which the browser navigates to an attacker-chosen site.
