Open redirect via unchecked preview URL
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
Open redirect in PublicCMS 5.202506.a allows remote authenticated users to send administrators to external sites via a crafted URL. The preview.html template copies the url query value into a hidden form field and VIEW link without validating its destination, so a scheme-relative value selects an external host. A valid administrative session and activation of the VIEW link are required; the redirect can support phishing but does not directly alter server data.
