CVE-2025-7948Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via unchecked password-update target

Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025

Broken access control in jishenghua jshERP 3.0 through 3.5 allows remote authenticated users to change another user's password. The updatePwd handler trusts a supplied userId, loads that target account, compares a supplied MD5 value with its current password hash, and saves the supplied replacement without verifying that the requester owns or administers the target. A low-privilege account and the target's current hash are required, but successful guessing permits takeover of the target account.
