Remote code execution via unchecked serverIp copy
Published Jul 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025
Buffer overflow in the MQTT Service of TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. updateWifiInfo passes attacker-controlled serverIp data to sprintf for a 128-byte stack buffer without checking its length. A crafted MQTT message published to totolink/router/updateWifiInfo on TCP port 1883 overwrites the buffer and can redirect execution.
