CVE-2025-7899Network attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via unsigned download paths

Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025

IDOR in TYPO3 powermail 12.0.0 through 12.5.2 and 13.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to download arbitrary server files. The backend downloadFile function resolves the user-controlled file query parameter without verifying that the requested path belongs to an authorized download link. Exploitation requires backend-module access and at least one powermail email record containing an uploaded file; disclosure is limited to files readable by the webserver.
