CVE-2025-7893Public exploit

Credential theft via Android task hijacking

Published Jul 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025

Task hijacking in Foresight News 2.6.0 through 2.6.4 for Android allows local users to present a phishing activity. AndroidManifest.xml leaves taskAffinity at its package-name default, letting a malicious app create a same-affinity singleTask activity at the task root. The malicious app must be installed and opened on the same device before the victim app; on Android before 11, launching Foresight News can display the attacker's phishing interface and expose entered account information.
