CVE-2025-7882

Unauthenticated password guessing via unthrottled logins

Published Jul 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025

Improper login throttling in MERCUSYS MW301R 1.0.2 Build 190726 Rel.59423n allows remote attackers to guess passwords from the local network. The public record identifies only the Login component and states that it insufficiently restricts excessive authentication attempts; no endpoint, request field, or firmware function is disclosed. Local-network reachability is required, and the record establishes repeated credential guessing but not credential disclosure or administrative access.
