Authenticated file upload via unchecked extension
Published Jul 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in MetaCRM 6.4.0 through 6.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to write dangerous files via sendsms.jsp. The sendsms.jsp handler retains the uploaded filename extension and calls Upload.saveAs in the user-file temporary directory without validating the extension. A valid session cookie is required, and successful exploitation places attacker-controlled content in server-side storage.
