CVE-2025-7843Network attack vector

Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted remote image fetching

Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

SSRF in Auto Save Remote Images (Drafts) 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to send requests to internal services. The fetch_images() function accepts remote image URLs from post content without restricting internal destinations, so WordPress requests attacker-selected locations. Saving a crafted post with Contributor-level access is sufficient, exposing reachable internal services to server-originated reads or writes.
