API key modification via missing nonce validation
Published Aug 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in Sertifier Certificate & Badge Maker for WordPress – Tutor LMS 1.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to change its API key. The sertifier_settings page accepts settings updates without correct WordPress nonce validation, permitting a forged cross-origin request to replace the stored key. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to perform an attacker-induced action, and the demonstrated consequence is an unauthorized configuration change.
