Authenticated code execution via unchecked URL-filter copy
Published Jul 18, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH451 1.0.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash the router. The fromSafeUrlFilter handler passes the user-controlled Go value to strcpy and the page value to sprintf without checking their lengths, overflowing stack buffer s. Low-privilege access to /goform/SafeUrlFilter is required; successful exploitation can execute code with the service's privileges or interrupt routing by crashing the device.
