CVE-2025-7783Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Parameter injection via predictable multipart boundaries

Published Jul 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

HTTP parameter pollution in form-data before 2.5.4, 3.0.0 through 3.0.3, and 4.0.0 through 4.0.3 allows remote attackers to inject fields. The _generateBoundary method in lib/form_data.js derives each multipart boundary from predictable Math.random() outputs, letting a crafted field terminate a part and introduce attacker-chosen fields. Exploitation requires observable application Math.random() values and control of a field sent by form-data; successful attacks can alter parameters in downstream internal requests.
