Unauthenticated file deletion via unrestricted delete_files paths
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file deletion in artkrylov Icons Factory 1.6.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete server files without authentication. The delete_files() function accepts an attacker-controlled file path and deletes the referenced file without an authorization check or path restriction. Any reachable WordPress site with the plugin active is exposed; deleting wp-config.php can interrupt the site and enable code execution.
