Cart manipulation via tokenless cart request
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 18, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Code Projects E-commerce Site 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter an authenticated user's cart via a crafted page. The cart_add.php POST handler accepts attacker-supplied product and quantity values after checking only the user's session, without validating a CSRF token or request origin. A signed-in shopper must visit an attacker-controlled page, which can silently add products, change quantities, and influence order placement.
