CVE-2025-7740

Administrative access via deployment-time default credentials

Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026

Use of default credentials in Hitachi Energy SuprOS 9.0.0 through 9.2.2.0 allows local users to gain administrative access. The deployment process creates an administrator account that retains vendor-supplied credentials instead of requiring unique credentials before use. Existing low-privileged local access and an unchanged deployment-time password are required; successful use grants the account's administrative privileges.
