Resource exhaustion in Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform E Series allows remote attackers to make the 10G iSCSI port unresponsive. The 10G iSCSI interface accepts a large volume of malicious packets without sufficient resource limits or throttling until the port stops responding. No authentication or user interaction is required; network reachability to the storage interface is enough to interrupt iSCSI service.
