CVE-2025-7734Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Viewer-session action execution via unsafe LSIF rendering

Published Aug 13, 2025 · Updated Aug 13, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to execute actions as viewers via malicious repository content. The legacy LSIF code-navigation path passes a blob DOM node's textContent through wrapSpacesWithSpans into wrapper.innerHTML, turning encoded markup into executable HTML. Exploitation requires a victim to view a server-highlighted blob tied to a crafted legacy-format LSIF artifact; the script runs in the viewer's session and does not directly interrupt service.
