Stored browser script execution via unsanitized username
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 17, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Scada-LTS 2.7.8.0 through 2.7.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts. The users.shtm endpoint stores the username value without adequate validation or sanitization and renders it when the page is later opened. An authenticated attacker must register a crafted username, and another user must view the page before the script executes in the victim's browser.
