Unauthenticated stored XSS via unsanitized gallery comments
Published Aug 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Contest Gallery 26.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through public gallery comments. The comment feature stores insufficiently sanitized input and later renders it without adequate output escaping. No account is required; the payload executes when a visitor opens the injected page and can read page data or alter content in that site's browser origin.
