Administrator impersonation via unrestricted Facebook identity claims
Published Aug 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in Brave Conversion Engine PRO 0.7.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to access WordPress accounts via Facebook login. The plugin's Facebook authentication flow accepts a claimed WordPress identity without properly restricting it to the identity authenticated by Facebook. No WordPress credentials are required; an attacker can impersonate any user, including an administrator, when the site's Facebook login integration is reachable.
