Arbitrary file deletion via insufficient path validation
Published Aug 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in WofficeIO Woffice Core 5.4.26 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The woffice_file_manager_delete() function deletes a caller-supplied path without first confining it to an authorized directory. Contributor-level access is required; deletion of a security-critical file such as wp-config.php provides a path to remote code execution.
