Subscriber-to-Administrator escalation via unchecked password reset
Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2025
Missing authorization in Themefic Hydra Booking 1.1.0 through 1.1.18 allows remote authenticated users to reset an Administrator password. The tfhb_reset_password_callback() function accepts a target user for password reset without checking whether the caller has authority over that account. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to seize an Administrator account and obtain full control of the WordPress site.
