Stored cross-site scripting via missing nonce validation
Published Aug 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Janyk Steenbeek LatestCheckins 1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts through forged requests. The LatestCheckins administrative page accepts settings values from a state-changing request without valid nonce verification and stores attacker-controlled script content. Exploitation requires a site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request, after which the stored script executes in an affected browser session.
