Arbitrary file deletion via unvalidated submission path
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in HT Plugins Extensions For CF7 3.2.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete server files through form submissions. The delete-file field accepts an attacker-controlled path without verifying that it identifies an uploaded submission file before the deletion workflow removes it. Exploitation requires an administrator to delete the malicious submission; deletion of wp-config.php can interrupt the site and enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
