CVE-2025-7640Network attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via nonce-free request

Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

CSRF in hiWeb Export Posts 0.9.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files via a forged request. The tool-dashboard-history.php handler performs a file-deletion operation on an attacker-controlled path without validating a WordPress nonce or restricting the path to an intended directory. Exploitation requires an administrator to submit the forged request, and deleting a critical file such as wp-config.php can enable remote code execution or interrupt the site.
