Authenticated code execution via unchecked deviceList copy
Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1803 1.0.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted deviceList value. The formSetWifiMacFilterCfg path passes deviceList through sub_5E3A0 and sub_5E250, where strcpy copies it into a fixed-size stack buffer without a length check. Access to the router management endpoint is required; successful exploitation can crash the service or execute attacker-controlled code.
