Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via path traversal
Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Path traversal in submit.php in Zavy86 Wiki|Docs 1.0.77 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete files outside the wiki. The image_delete_ajax handler passes the POST document value into Document without rejecting dot-dot segments or slashes, and accepts image_name without reducing it to a basename. Administrator-level authentication is required, and successful exploitation can delete files reachable by the web-server account, affecting integrity and service availability.
