CVE-2025-7574Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated factory reset via unchecked web requests

Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025

Improper authentication in LB-LINK router firmware through 20250702 allows remote attackers to reboot or factory-reset devices. The reboot and restore handlers in /cgi-bin/lighttpd.cgi execute sensitive operations from simple HTTP requests without verifying requester identity or permission. No credentials or user interaction are required; reboot interrupts network service, while factory reset erases configuration data.
